41. AMERICA'S BOATING COURSE 'S BOATING COURSE starts 2/20, Wed. 4 weeks 7-9 p.m. $25
This course is conducted by members of the Pennsway Power Squadron. The purpose of America's Boating Course is to teach introductory safe boating techniques. The course material covers 7 chapters which touch on: general information about boats and maintenance; information to make your boating experience safer and more comfortable; tips on being a more courteous boat operator; laws and regulations to which you must adhere (including state-specific information that the student is expected to know). A certificate will be issued upon completing this course and passing a written examination. Material COST is $40 payable to instructor first night. PENNSWAY POWER SQUADRON"

*Held at the Horsham Valley Golf Course, Babylon Rd. Horsham. This course is held outdoors on the course. Grab a wood, an iron, and a putter. Learn the grip, stance, back swing, and follow through, putting, how to correct a hook or a slice, and exercises for muscular coordination. Bring putter on the 1st. night of class. *Held at the pool at Simmon's Elementary School on Babylon Rd.. This 30-hour program will teach you skin and scuba diving. All equipment is provided for pool sessions. Successful completion will allow you to take your open-water certification dives which are provided though the instructor and the dive shop. This course will include the basic grips, proper stroke and stance, instruction on racket control, playing and scoring for both singles & doubles. The overhead serve will be taught and practiced toward the later stage of this course.
