36. *RED CROSS STANDARD FIRST AID WITH ADULT CPR/AED

Tues. & Wed. Oct. 5 & 6th (6 hrs. total) 2 nights 7-10
Know what to do in case of an emergency. This course will provide the lay responder with the knowledge & skills necessary in an emergency to help sustain life & minimize pain until medical help arrives. This course offers hands on training in CPR, Automated External Defibrillator, Obstructed Airway Management, First Aid techniques & more. Upon completion of skills & tests, participants will be certified by the American Red Cross in Adult CPR (1 yr.) & First Aid (3 years). You must attend the entire class to become certified. $15. material & certification fee will be required the 1st night ($12. to be returned if participant does not become certified). Book may be purchased at the end of the class for $15.

Whether you are a parent, babysitter, grandparent or just around children, this is important information to know & practice. We will provide the lay responder with the knowledge & skills necessary to help sustain life until medical help arrives. This course offers hands on traing in child & infant CPR & Automated External Defibrillator. Aikido is a form of self-defense which can quickly neutralize violent aggression with nonviolence and is very much distinguished from the schools of Karate. It is a method of circular defenses never opposing but rather moving with the force of aggression. Open to men and women.

One will learn how to use the sword safely & effectively. Practice includes basic attacks & defenses, timing drills, Iaido drills, & the use of the wooden bokken shoto, & tanto. There will be practice swords available for use, but students are encourage to purchase their own at the time of class. 53. AMERICA'S BOATING COURSE'S

5 weeks, Wed. starts 9/22 7:00-9:00 p.m.
This course is conducted by members of the Delaware River PowerSquadron. The purpose of America's Boating Course is to teach introductory safe boating techniques. The course material covers 7 chapters which touch on: general information about boats and maintenance; information to make your boating experience safer and more comfortable; tips on being a more courteous boat operator; laws and regulations to which you must adhere (including state-specific information that the student is expected to know). A certificate will be issued upon completing this course and passing a written examination. Material COST is $45 PAYABLE TO INSTRUCTOR 1ST NIGHT.
