20. JEWELRY ? STRINGING

This class is an introduction to making jewelry, including materials, tools, techniques and tips, local and on-line suppliers. Learn to create bracelets, necklaces, multi-strand techniques. The first class will discuss materials, tools and techniques. If time allows, we will make a simple bracelet. Kits will be available for purchase for the first class (about $10) and tools will be available for class use. Or, bring beading wire, crimp tubes, crimping pliers, cutters, beading mat, beads of your choice sufficient to make a bracelet, and clasp to the first class. Supply lists will be provided for the rest of the classes. Bring extra lighting and magnification if needed. If you want a complete supply list before registration, email info@madcapjewelry.com

21.JEWELRY ? BEADING STITCHES

5 nights starts Wed.Oct.20 6:30-9:30 p.m.
Learn Odd-count tubular peyote, Even-count flat peyote, Square, Herringbone and Right-angle weave stitches. You will make a bracelet in each stitch. Bring two or three colors of 8/0 seed beads (you can use 11/0s, but 8/0s are easier to begin with), beading thread or 6# Fireline, needles, scissors, magnification and light (optional) to the first class. This course will help you take your clever ideas and turn them into effective and efficient imagery, ready for print or web. Course will include but is not limited to; storytelling techniques, character design, inking, and basic composition. Beginners welcome.
